Client: Urban Splash

Scheme: Independent consultant contracted to carry out Appeal for the redevelopment of Grade II* Listed Building and new enabling development within grounds.

Status: Inquiry finished October 2009. Appeal successful.

Hartford Garden Village

Client: Grange Estates

Scheme: Major scheme for an extensive care village in the heart of Cheshire. Delivery with Calderpeel architects of robust masterplan. Mix of uses includes retail, other commercial, leisure and housing.

Status: Ongoing – Applcation due Winter 2009/2010.

Unlocking the Potential of Inland Waterways through Planning

Client:TCPA/BW

Project: Commissioned to help in the production of a new TCPA with the support of British Waterways.

The findings and recommendations contained within the Policy Advice Note have been informed by a series of workshops and discussions with planning and policy personnel from local authorities, Regional Development Agencies and other public bodies, the principal navigation authorities, and the Government-sponsored Inland Waterway Advisory Council (IWAC).

Town Planning and the Skills Agenda

Client:NWEIP/Skills Academy

Project: The main aim of the project was to focus on the town planning and the skills agenda. It will aim to provide guidance on how to maximise the opportunities for training and employment through the use of section 106 agreements in regeneration areas and in the planning and design of sustainable communities. In addition to a review of current literature and policy across the country, further research was carried out. This included holding a workshop with planning officers from the existing Cheshire Authorities to help identify any gaps.
